Even if the waterfall isn't a huge one, it is still big, and very beatiful, located close to central Hilo. The falls are part of the same river in which you can see the so called "Boiling Pots" (close up streams), which is recommended to...More

This is a quick little stop but you must go by. It was beautiful and I'm glad we went. I wore bug spray all day just to be safe, I had read about people getting bites.

My husband and myself went to Rainbow Falls. Was very easy to park and walk to the falls! Got some good pictures (don't forget your camera) !

Very beautiful water fall. We did not see a rainbow the day we went. It is a short visit, we went in the morning.

Crowded, touristy. Only one far away view of the waterfall. Parking was congested. Disappointing from what I expected.

Visiting Rainbow Falls was a fun, fast activity while we were in Hilo. There are no trails because the overlook is right at the parking lot. It was a beautiful place.

Another waterfall experience. We didn't get there at the right time of the day to glimpse a rainbow. But we did get to walk around and get a great view of this fall. Talk the time to walk around and see the Banyan tree.

Not as tall and majestic as Akaka Falls on the east side, but still beautiful Hawaii and the nearby banyon trees are amazing. Easy parking and short walk to the falls.
