The falls has an easy walk to top. Be sure to step into woods on top just a little to see this tree that's in there. Nothing written about it but really cool to see.

Nice stop for anybody. Fairly easy trails to see the nice viewing areas of the falls. Some more difficult trails get you some great views

Pretty falls and plants, good parking and a good place to visit when it's not pouring rain. Good restrooms as well as tables for picnickers, too.

I could tell that this would be so beautiful when it isn't raining. Unfortunately, it was pouring so there weren't any rainbows. Make sure to pack a rain coat of some sort and bring an umbrella when going to Hilo - you can't predict the...More

It was rainy and the water was brown when we visited. The falls are nice to see if you happen to be in the area. Parking is plentiful and free.

Although there was no rainbow when we visited Rainbow Falls, it was a beautiful site with an abundance of lush tropical vegetation. There are clean restrooms, plenty of parking and an easy path to view the falls.

Neat place. Super easy to get to. Not much of a hike though. Needs trail maintenance. And a few picnic tables.

Stopped here while on tour, not much to see. Nice falls, beautiful foliage. Bathrooms, uneven terrain.

Free limited parking. Walk 50 feet and you’re there. Beautiful twin falls with big cave behind. Go in morning for rainbows if sunny.

There are a lot of waterfalls on the east side of the island but this is one of the most accessible as well as beautiful. But be warned, that also means that it can be very busy especially on cruise ship days. Don’t forget to...More
