This refers to the afternoon snorkel cruise to the Captain Cook monument area. The crew of the Fair Winds II boat were the best part of the trip. From captain to crew they would engage and attempt to connect with you by asking where you...More

One of the coolest places to snorkle! The dolphins alone were the highlight of our visit but the underwater critters were amazing overall! So many types of fish, sea urchins, starfish and even sea turtles! You NEED to spend at least half a day here!...More

Beautiful and safe place for a first snorkeling experience. Clear water with lots of fish (lots of people too). Didn't notice how crowded it was as soon as I put my face in the water.

This bay is absolutely beautiful! My husband and I went snorkeling here. Some areas are more difficult to get into, and deeper, but it's worth it to see the variety of fish that are just astounding. The folks in this area are also incredibly kind...More

We rented kayaks and snorkeled with a pod of spinner dolphins (taking care not to move when they came closer). The snorkeling is the best we have seen with reef sharks and beautiful fish, but busy with tour boats.

We traveled only to the Big Island because we wanted adventure and to stay as the locals in vacation rental homes, not the typical Hawaii experience in resorts and drinks on the beach, etc. For this, the big island is... More
