Friendly and free, the museum displays hundreds of saddles and leather working tools. You do not have to be into horses to appreciate the items displayed, well worth a visit.

This isn't someplace I'd travel long distance to see, but if you have some extra time and you're in Sheridan (and you're in interested in "western stuff and history) you might like this place. I visited for only a few minutes and I thought it...More

I stopped by to get a King Ropes cap. Great selection and better prices than other places. They have a good selection of tack and ranch working ranch clothing. And yes they have ropes. In the back is the museum part. Lots of saddles and...More

King's history with American West things. It's a quick walk through with tons of western memorabilia. There is also a side room with animal mounts from all over the world. It was fun.

Our waitress at the Sheridan Inn suggested we give this place a visit and we ended up spending a couple of hours in the museum and the shop, a great place to wander around, a world away from the UK, absolutely fascinating. The staff were...More

Who would have thought I would ever visit a saddle museum? Well, it was more than worth the time. The saddles on display were interesting and some were really blinged out but the other artifacts and pictures from the early west were unbelievable. If you...More

We spent a. Purple hours walking through the museum. Quite a collection of all things west and cowboy. Worth the stop we figured an hour we were there 2.5 or more.

My family and I were told about King's but until you go in and check it out yourself you really don't get the true experience. This is an amazing place to see (don't want to spoil it)- as this is a saddlery place and so...More

This is a wonderful collection of saddles and other western memorabilia. The museum is free. If you are lucky, you may also be able to talk to someone about the selection of ropes and get a demonstration.

One of the few saddle shops left. You can watch them repairing and making saddles. Something for everyone. The museum is amazing, beautiful collection. They had snacks set up for guests even sweet tea, we all loved that special touch.

I would say at least a couple hours! There is so much to see in the museum that it is worth taking the time to really look at things.
