We visit KSM annually to remind ourselves of the history of the Sheridan area. The workshop, number and types of mounts, and the great museum make this a great 2-3 stop for visitors to Sheridan. We take visitors to KSM when they are in town and they always find a souvenir.

King's Saddlery and Museum is a wonderful piece of local history. SO MANY saddles to look at. The museum is most interesting with leather working tools and beautiful saddles. There is a display of the Eaton Ranch with the history lined out.

We enjoyed looking at all the stores had to offer. The Kings are very supportive of our military and have a nice variety of photos from different support projects and of family members who have served. The museum is a treasure that shouldn't be overlooked. Give yourself plenty of time to browse!! The $2 fee per adult is a small... More

This place was amazing. The front part is a store that has every piece of equipment any horseman would need. In the back there is a huge warehouse of King's ropes, saddles and pretty much every piece of horse equipment imaginable. Then you enter the museum, which seems to go on forever. There are saddles, bridles, wagons, dioramas, Native American... More

The store is great for anyone who owns or loves horses. And the Don King Museum, with it's great collection of saddles, old west rifles, and the history surrounding it is super-interesting. Make sure to visit the second floor of the museum to get a detailed look into how the saddles are made - what an amazing art form!

All the saddles and ropes are amazing. Watching the persons doing the leather tooling is great. The wildlife mounts and longhorn steers are cool.

What's a single 30-year-old woman to do out west when you're visiting for work. Go to the Don King Saddle Museum. If you like the old west and are a huge fan of cowboys and bronco riding/rodeo visit this museum. Full of so much western memorabilia its overwhelming. Leather craft, hand crafted saddles, native american pictures and exhibits, very old... More

Awesome stop for the cowboy at heart - great shopping and western museum. A must stop in Sheridan! We actually ran into Fred Whitfield - he was shopping for new ropes as was my calf roping nephew.

What a one of a kind place to visit. We have traveled all over the world and we look especially for one a kind places to visit. This special place did not disappoint. The expert in leather tooling was so informative and shared his talent with everyone who stopped by. Can't praise it enough.

I know you are thinking you don't ride a horse so why would you stop at a saddlery place. Right ? It's much more than saddles. This place is amazing it has everything that you can ever image. History, craftmanship, and down right good folks who take the time to talk with you. We were able to watch a gentleman... More
