The road was in great condition from Pinedale to Hoback Junction. Perpetual road construction north into Jackson Hole.

I've live in Wyoming and the drive from Rock Springs to Farson is very pretty and I go to get the best ice cream cones ever! There are plenty of passing lanes both directions. Can take it to Pinedale and Hoback and the views just get prettier as you go. Wyoming is a beautiful place and so many things to do.

Really interesting route through GTNP and YNP. We've been to both parks several times but this was the first time going from this direction.

A delightful drive with views all around. Spotting two moose was just the bonus. This area was just outside of Pinedale heading south towards Utah. See photos.

On the Green River, Pinedale is a pretty town, hospitable and with many places to see and abundant with wildlife. Be sure to tour the Museum of the Mountain Man.

We drove from I-80 junction to Pinedale, WY and then continued all the way to Yellowstone via 191 in August. The scenery is mostly flat till we neared the Grand Tetons, when it becomes more interesting at the backdrop of majestic mountains. Be sure to keep gas at least half a tank and do not expect much of traffic or any kind of service miles after miles. It could be a very good drive when you are in mood for peace and quiet, surrounded by the beauty of the prairies.

The High desert is different than most people have ever seen, and we traveled mostly on smaller gravel roads in the area, as part of our 2700 mile, five state dual sport motorcycle trip.

This is a lovely ride, especially the portion from the Hobac junction through the Hobac valley. Beautiful mountainside wooded vistas wcrossing the Hobac river multiple times. Well worth a side trip just for the views. Stop and take in the historic markers along the way. You might even see an animal or two, or three, or four as you move on through prairie once out of the valley onto plains to Pinedale. There are restrooms along the way but they are few and far between. Stop at the service station at Hobac Junction, the Forest Service camp ground at the south end of Hobac Valley, and then Daniel Junction General store.

Drove from Jackson to Pinedale: gorgeous the entire way. Changing scenery the entire way. What a treat.
