Great day trip for us. The scenery on the 1 1/2 mile trip up to the site was amazing and, fortunately, we picked a beautiful day to go. So worth the hike! Landmark, itself, was quiet and peaceful.

It's worth your time to make the 1.5 mile hike to the Medicine Wheel. The views along the way alone are worth the effort. The Medicine Wheel is a spiritual piece of Native American history.

From the parking lot to the top of the mountain (where the wheel is) is about 1 ½ miles but heed the warning to take it slowly as you are about 9,500 feet up. We even had to walk on snow at one stage. We...More

The hike was a bit dusty and hot (not much shade), but we were able witness some ranchers moving their cattle ahead of us, the kids loved that. At the wheel, it was very neat to look around and find tokens left behind and wonder...More

It was very fun driving in the Bighorns. The roads are very steep and scenic. The Medicine Wheel is well worth a look for anyone. It is at 10000 feet in elevation which makes the air pretty thin. The actual wheel is great to look...More

If you are in the area, make sure you make this trip. Scenery is beautiful - worth the walk. Take your time, stop along the way.
