My first visit to Vedauwoo. I was pleasantly surprised! I loved the view of all the beautiful rocks! The were truly stunning. This is a fabulous place for families with kids and you can choose a long or short hike.

If you are not a hiker, this is not worth the trip. you can see some things but not much. You just drive around in circles.

Yes, in the developed campground areas. Undeveloped areas have no water source, you need to pack your own.

I agree - lots of sites available, as long as you avoid the holiday weekends. There are developed sites near lakes and recreation areas (small fee), and many undeveloped sites (free) along the various roads in the Vedauwoo... More

The best spots do. Much of the campground has been cleared of trees due to pine beetle, so many of the campsites are treeless. Many of those are often available. The upper Campground allows RVs. The lower Campground is tents... More
