We went on a two hour ride in the afternoon and then stayed for dinner. The ride leader (Chuck/Justin) was fantastic, the horses were all wonderful, the scenery was postcard perfect, the meal afterwards was amazing, and the owners of the Ranch (Chancy, Kim, Sarah) made us feel like family!! Can't say enough about it!! xoxoxo

This was one of the highlights during our trip to Jackson and Yellowstone. I've been a horseback rider and horse owner for the last twenty years, and with trail rides I'm always so worried about what I'll find. The Mill Iron horses are fabulous- so happy, well cared for, and with great personalities. Our guide, Justin, was fabulous and spent... More

Guide was very knowledgeable and attentive; check-in is in a run-down shack. My horse was well-behaved but his coat was dull making me think he needed more attention. the trail is narrow so you have to kick brush out of the way and watch for your foot or knee hitting trees. View from top is great. Not ridiculously expensive. Knees... More

We have a pretty large group (50-75) that comes back to Jackson every year. The highlight of the trip is the steak dinner at the Mill Iron ranch. They have a large, very private banquet room that is the perfect venue for a large group. If you are looking for an exclusive, comfortable real western experience you can't beat the... More

The highlight of our trip to Wyoming for sure. The horse ride and scenery were only surpassed by the friendliness and welcoming of the Wheeldon family. My son, Pete, is guiding for his second summer there and they have taken care of him like one of their own. The horses are loved and well cared for and while the horses... More

Pete was our guide and he was fantastic! My husband and I did the two hour ride. In the beginning of the trip, I was in front and my husband was last. Pete moved my husband up so that he was right in front of me. He was very knowledgeable about the area and very personable and nice to talk... More

We went on the afternoon ride with the steak dinner to follow. Great choice! The ride leads from the ranch into the Bridger-Teton Natioal Forest. You climb over 2000' ft to amazing panoramic views. Our guide, Pete, was patient, informative, helpful and a pretty nice guy as well. After topping out with the views you descend down a forested trail... More

We did the two hour ride. Incredible views all around. Ryan was a great guide. He gave lots of facts on the rivers and mountains. Would do it again.

Great trip. Trails are steep and narrow. Haven't been on a horse for over 20 years. Took a while for my comfort level to kick in 5 minutes or so. Awesome. Dinner was huge and everyone was SUPER friendly. Definite do again.

I have taken about 6 rides and meals with this family. The ride is spectacular crossing creeks and seeing the mountains and valleys. Also the meal is fabulous. Visit Mill Iron and enjoy it as I have for years.
