This is quite a bit deeper than the Museum of the American Indian in DC thanks to acquiring the Paul Dyck comprehensive 19th century collection of many thousands of significant and unique pieces from most of the Plains tribes.

This was the first part of this museum complex we wanted to see and we are so glad we did it first. There is so much to see and admire and it took so much time. It was well worth it. The artifacts are outstanding - what workmanship! A must do!

So many things to look at and learn about the Indians and their lifestyle. From teepees to hunting and clothing.

A good collection of things related to the history of the Native Americans that give you a better idea of they way they lived.

This is simply an outstanding museum. If you are at all sensitive to the effects of the European invasion of native cultures, this museum is guaranteed to make you squirm a bit, but in a way that may remind you that immigration in not a new problem, and is not reserved for "Whites Only".

Excellent displays in a smart arrangement that highlights conceptual issues. Nice mixture of historical and contemporary documentation of Plains Indians. Nice mix of audio and visual media make this a special museum.
