I was skeptical that this was going to be a rather hokey tourist trap - instead found it to be thoroughly enjoyable and extremely well done. If you love history you'll enjoy it too. Lots to see, yet you tour it at your own pace with as much time as you wish to spend.

The whole family enjoyed this attraction. There is a lot of history in these buildings. Make sure you read about them while you are there.

Stopped by to walk the old street and peak into the windows of the old cabins. The owners were preparing for a Christmas celebration and allowed us to walk around as they hung lights and made an antler Christmas tree. Nice people opened a few places allowing us to look in. Invited us to return for the big Christmas celebration.... More

You can not miss this attraction when you go to Cody. About 20-25 cabins which date from 1879 to 1901 have been assembled there. You will see the original "Hole in The Wall" gang's cabin used by Butch Cassidy and Sundance Kid, a cabin home of "Curley" a Crow Indian army scout who helped guide Lt Col. George A. Custer... More

What a great place to visit. Unlike the Buffalo Bill museum, Trail Town is a fraction of the cost and is full of superb artifacts of a bygone time. The town is set up as a street, consisting of saved buildings from around the area. Each building is full of artifacts from the time, i.e. there's a trappers hut, a... More

There are 26 buildings that have been moved to this property. They date from 1879 to 1901 and are furnished with an extensive collection of memorabilia. There are over 100 horse drawn vehicles displayed. The grave sites of Jeremiah Johnson and 6 others are buried here. Our teenage sons loved this stop.

Awesome to see the actual place where the Hole in the Wall gang stayed as well as the original bar they hung out in that still has bullet holes where it was shot up. I also loved the original wagons and buckboards they had where you can see how people travelled together. A must see!

Our hotel recommended we stop by this little re-constructed town on our way out of Cody. What a surprise. It was really wonderful. They have moved some very old interesting buildings into one place which reflect the social history of this park of the world. There are cabins, schools, hide outs, and even a saloon used by Butch Cassidy and... More

If you have an affinity for those years of outlaws and interesting characters like Jeremiah Johnson this is a great place to view their actual homes. Fascinating walk through history

This was something mentioned to us by the visitors centre a short five min drive from our motel. They have lots of different cabins from various locations put together to give the idea of what a Trail Town would look like. They have the cabin where the Hole in the Wall gang held up after they robbed the bank with... More
