If passing it's worth stopping for an hour or two to take the train out to see and feed the bison. It's not quite as good as I'd hoped and most of the place looks tired but it's interesting. Not a great deal to do...More

On a whim, I decided to go to the Terry Bison Ranch on a Sunday morning, after seeing one of their advertisements in a Cheyenne tourist magazine. I was interested in going horseback riding. I don't particularly enjoy horseback riding, but since I'm not fat...More

I have been there many times, know people on staff and have family that used to work there. If you are driving by from back east or are an overseas tourist stop in and look around. If the smell of horse manure offends your sensibilities,...More

Ok so this place is totally fun even in the winter. We had lunch- fine- big portions and a lot of meat based options. Then we did the train ride in the rain. There were not windshield wipers on our train, many windows didn’t open,...More

We only spent one transiting night here, but the staff is nice & friendly, sites are fairly level. There is a 10% discount at the restaurant, a gift shop and lots to do for all ages, especially if your stay is longer than 1 night.

First of all I must say today was a cold windy day which affected our experience with the whole place. Not too many animals were out. We got there an hour early for the train ride and tried to see the other animals but were...More

A short distance from downtown Cheyenne, the ranch has camels, ostrichs, bison, horses, chickens, etc. The train keeps you up away from being stepped on by the bison, but you are allowed to feed (and pet) them from the train. A very entertaining time!

We had fun here even tho it was a tourist draw and a bit hokey. We rode the "train" out to see the bison and learned a lot about the ranch and the animals on the way. The restaurant was very good. Had a bison...More

The animals are viewed best by the train ride. Well worth the ride & money . The smaller animals around the barn yard are best viewed from overhead walkway . Camels are free roaming in a large pasture - viewed best by... More
