Does not take a long time & it is laid out nicely. I enjoyed the easy walk around the grounds & learned more about the brave pioneers & soldiers.

Movies always show Western Forts with walls, but many did not. Fort Caspar was a small collection of log cabins. The original fort is long gone, so what you see to today is a replica built in the 1930's.

Our group had youngsters as young as two and four and our grandfather in his 70's. All participants enjoyed the indoor and outdoors displays. We went early in the morning, and had the best guide, he explained everything to us, & to a 4 & 6 year old. Second time there for me, but I know when I make it back to Casper, I'll return to Fort Casper Museum.

Good little museum with information about migrants and the Oregon Trail. Casper was a key spot on the trail and this is the location of a key river crossing. Some of our not so glorious past with the native Americans can be learned about here.

Small but good. You can walk through the whole thing in about 1.5 hours. Great information about the history of Casper and how it has thrived and survived. The forts out back were pretty cool.

Great little museum. Caspar Collins Days have reenactments of military formations on horses, and interesting talks.

After visiting the National Historic Trail Centre and our Wagon ride we visited this Site. We found it very informative and interesting to see how the early soldiers lived.
