Gives you a great view of the area before the dam went up and the technology used by the artist. He used ground breaking technology, some he invented, and an interest in photography is well rewarded.

This is a must see -- esp if you are interested in photography. The photos are magnificent and it gives you a good 'picture' of the Dells from before it became the 'Dells" Interesting to gain a knowledge of how photography progressed.

Great rainy day activity--go early so you can hog the interactive exhibits. Some of the photos become repetitive throughout the museum; however, they are presented in various unique ways...as you enter you can 'walk' through the dells, as seen from a river boat, through antique...More

Hi! Thanks for this excellent and thorough review! The photos featured in the museum itself do sometimes repeat but they're just so good we couldn't help ourselves! Some shots like "The Leap" are also iconic to us and the area. The historic studio is Bennett's...More

Thank you for your review and business! We're happy you found us interesting. We do have a variety of vintage cameras used by Mr. Bennett on display, including a very large camera he took out for some of his large nature shots!

We stopped in and were pleasantly surprised. Much history and wonderful photos. I kept thinking about the original floors we walked on and the history that they held. The staff was very friendly, helpful and informative. Well worth the price of admission.
