The ride itself is about 30 minutes. Staff are very engaging and informative. Would recommend for anyone interested in trains and mechanical things. Got to see the turntable and also saw them refill the steam engine with water from the tower.

We stop by & take a train ride every time we visit the Dells, and it never gets old. We also enjoy the touch with history as these trains--when the original manufacturer was still in business--supplied the narrow-gauge railways to zoos, parks, etc.

We went on a Monday afternoon. Trains ran on the hour every hour. I can't remember how much it was....I think around $20 for myself, my 1 and 4 year old. They had a blast riding this train. So fun.More

Fun time. Went early to get the first train out before leaving out of town. Lucky us we had the train all to ourselves. Keep in mind this is not a full size train, but still a nice ride on an old rail bed. Beautiful...More

I think it's $12 for an adult admission. Kids under a certain age are free. There is a BOGO coupon for this in the Dells coupon book and I think it's also part of the splash pass. I don't mind the price too much though as... More
