Currently closed for Winter Operations. Please check out website for summer events. Since 1938, Wilmot Mountain has enchanted families as one of the Midwest’s premier Winter destinations for snowsport activities. Just a short drive away from Chicago...more
love going to this place if you are in the Chicago area. Although slopes are for beginners mainly, there are a few challenging options and it is very convenient with excellent service (fast) and not so crowded. Prices are reasonable and yo can get season...More
Me and my boyfriend went here for the weekend and had a great time. Apparently the day we went was their 80th anniversary so we had to wait an hour and a half to rent our snowboards. Apparently the ticket line was long too but...More
Great option for skiing with your family and friends. The staff is very polite and the place provides skiing options for all people who knows how to ski or not. And if you do not want to ski, you can enjoy it by a fire...More
EPIC FAIL for CHILDREN'S SKI LESSONS. RIPOFF! AVOID!! I am really disappointed with my children's lessons at Wilmot. My three children have previously had one full day lesson at Copper Mountain Colorado before and we told the instructors that before they began. Before the lesson...More
Went to Wilmot to try a different ski area. We live in the Sheboygan/Green Bay area so we usually go to Little Switzerland, Cascade Mountain, Devils head, granite peak or up north. We took a chance and headed south. I wouldn't call this place terrible....More
Good ski spot close to Chicago.
-Quick (about hour) drive from downtown Chicago.
-Ski runs are short, but fun and interesting. There are some good areas for jumps and tricks as well.
-Rental equipment was a bit old and could use an update. The rental...More
Its a really small hill. I think it's a perfect place to learn or take kids. The places is nice and everyone is friendly. My main complaint is small runs which I would compare to indoor skiing in Dubai.
We have gone to Wilmot the last few years with young kids, and in the last year or two they have made some great improvements. The renovations to the building and restaurant are very impressive. They have added magic carpets for the ski lessons, and...More
We went to get a bite to eat and watch the kids ski. The waitress set up the 3 empty tables directly around us with silverware. She never looked at us. The entire place had only a few occupied tables, how did she not see/...More
It was the first time I've been skiing in Illinois/Wisconsin in about 15 years. The lodge and lifts were much improved. The staff was very helpful and ski rentals was easy. The skiing was good but a lot of icy snow. You also are exposed...More

The Wilmot Tubing Hill is not at the Ski Hill. It has a separate Tubing Lodge that has Washrooms for the guests. It also has a Snack Food Bar for things like Pizza, Hot Dogs, Chicken Tenders and more. There is a Beer and Wine Bar in the Tubing Lodge, plus there is a retail store to get small winter items like Gloves, Hats and Goggles. The Tubing Hill is great as there is nothing like it in the Midwest. It's definately the BEST TUBING HILL anywhere in Illinois and Wisconsin.
