Beautiful setting for a wedding. The overlook near the park entrance is a great place to relax, peer onto someone's ceremony, or look at the beautiful colors. Was lucky enough to see it in fall. The hike up the mountain is STEEP and windey; I'd rather drive up, pay or use the park sticker, then explore inside. Plenty of parking.... More

We visited the state park by car taking the road all the way up to the highest places and back down again. It was surreal realizing how high we were on the mountain and seeing the skiiers. Amazing experience.

Great place to go on a walk/run. Lots of paved trails so it's stroller friendly. There's a giant wooden tower you can climb and get a great view. There's also a small playground.

I try to get here once or twice a year just so I can walk the gorgeous paths around the top of the mountain. They have them marked very well and with an occasional map for reference. The granite formations around the mountain are spectacular. If you walk far enough to the west, you will come across the old red... More

I have lived at the base of Rib Mountain for 14 years and have hiked the north and south sides frequently. It is beautiful and offers great exercise. If you want rigorous exercise, hike the yellow trail on the south side. For less rigorous, but equally beautiful hiking, try the north side. On either side, you can get 4+ miles.... More

Since we travel with an 80lb dog, we are always on the lookout for dog-friendly trails and Rib Mountain has a selection of trails to accommodate every hiker or walker. We only had a couple of hours, so we arrived mid-morning and spent most of our time on the Blue trail. It was quiet and peaceful. While we were there,... More

We went the first weekend of October and the colors were amazing. I wish we would have known about the chair lift and included it in our plans. We hiked about half of the yellow trail. Lots of people were in the park, but the park is big enough so it didn't feel crowded. Parts of the trail were exhausting... More

A beautiful park in our backyard offering trails to hike, biking, music, snowshoeing, and camping. We had a family wedding there as well overlooking the city with beautiful fall colors. Great times, every time.

This park is always beautiful and well-maintained. It is nice for either a drive up or a walk at the paved path. The views are breathtaking

We like to take a break up at Rib Mountain State Park with the kids. There is an entry fee since it is a state park. There are multiple hiking trails and an easy to climb observation tour. In the fall, they operate a chair lift from the bottom which is beautiful, but I would recommend not getting off at... More
