Beautiful view of the island and water. Lots of steps to get to the tower, then more to climb the tower. Well worth it if you make the climb up the tower. There was a porta potty there, but no other information or things to...More

Don't be intimidated by the climb! It's not bad for an able bodied person and there are multiple opportunities to take a break. I'm surprised by the people who "complain" that the trees prevent a perfect 360 view - the trees are majestic and gorgeous!...More

It's several steps to climb and reach the top of this lookout tower. You're above all those trees,. This will be best for the fall season because of fall foliage, but for the summer, nothing special.

It was a bit of a climb up the hill and then the tower, but well worth the effort. The view was beautiful on a lovely day.

It's a hike- someone coming down said there were 125 steps up the "mountain" and then another 50 to the top of the tower- people with fear of heights might think twice on a very windy day, the tower is sturdy but small and the...More

Made a stop to check out the views from atop the tower. Not terribly high but sits atop a hill so that you are just able to see over the tree tops. Lots of steps to get to the base of the tower. Some seating...More

Going to the lookout tower on a clear day is a must. You can see some of the surrounding islands and across the bay to upper Michigan. The views are spectacular and worth the hike up, so don't forget to bring your camera.

Lots of steps, so this is not for those who struggle with mobility. The view was pretty. The majority of what you'll see are trees but worth a trip. You may get queasy if you're afraid of heights.

The climb to the top is good exercise but should be given serious thought by anyone with mobility issues. We were disappointed by the view from the top of the tower because it is 75% obstructed by the surrounding trees. The only view is the...More

Burn off some of those vacation calories. The lookout offers nice views. Colors are just starting to turn, but this would be a great place to see peak fall colors. It's not a terrible climb, I am not fit and did it no problem.

I lost count at 150. On the path to the tower, there are several flights of stairs. The rise on those is actually less than standard. So each step is not as high as the usual ones in your house. But there are probably 12... More
