If you are in the area of Two Rivers, do not miss this wonderful, charming museum, that also boasts being "the home of the home of the ice cream sundae"! Yes, you can still get a delicious ice cream sundae here, but don't miss the wonderful historical setting surrounding the ice cream parlor. We were intrigued by all the memorabilia...... More

Stumbled on this historic inn and found a charming piece of history. Walked in and found our tour guide dressed in period clothing as she sat and hand-quilted a quilt. Usually the tour is self-guided but our guide for today was a walking history book of Two Rivers. She and the free tour were delightful. Finished our stop with an... More

Stopped in for a sundae and decided to take the self guided tour of the building. Worth the stop. Well maintained building with so many interesting historical treasures. And when you are done enjoy a sundae in the quaint little ice cream parlor.

We usually enjoy these community historical site and this was no exception. As you meander through the premises there are so many fun and interesting discoveries to make. We stopped here to get ice cream and tour the building. It was a nice break in our day of touring Two Rivers. The volunteers can tell you many stories about the building.

It's all volunteer run and done with a broad smile. It's the birthplace of the ice cream sundae and they do a great job at it. Go upstairs while you're there, explore the ball room and the rooms behind. The museum has a bit of a garage sale feel, but that only increases the exploration factor.

We went there to get ice cream. The prices are great. Go for the sundae in the collector coffee mug. The employees are very helpful and know where to go in town for whatever you might need. They directed us to Machuts for supper and they were spot on. It is a big plus that they are a museum as... More
