- BdMorons183 contributionsWhere 3D structures are born and go to pastureWorth the stop just to see things you may not see elsewhere but are part of many attractions/businesses you experience every day. It's great that the owner is so generous to share this but don't expect details for a self guided tour. Heed the cautions as explained at the front of the exhibit and you will enjoy many wonderous figures. Graveyard may have some justification but a glass half full would say these are masterpieces.Visited June 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 4 June 2024

It seems to be a factory for fiberglass molded characters and items. There are displayed fiberglass sculptures and some in need of repair. Then there is a graveyard of discarded fiberglass molds. You can wander the grounds without charge. You will see many different molds including those used for familiar characters like Bob's Big Boy and Yogi Bear. We have visited many roadside attractions but none quite as unusual as this one. There is off street parking near the site so you can pull off easily to explore the grounds.Visited May 2024Travelled with familyWritten 9 July 2024
- Barbara S8 contributionsA fun stop on my road tripThis place was fun to wander around in, looking at all the various molds. I was there on a Sunday morning and no one else was around so it was nice and quiet. It would be fun to see how they actually use the molds, like a factory tour or something. I'm really glad I took the time to visit, as I love oddities like this.Visited September 2024Travelled soloWritten 28 September 2024

A very unique experience. You can explore several hundred molds used to make fiberglass figures. They are grouped together by type outside. A man working there took time to explain what they are and showed us pictures of some finished products.

A nice place to wander around. It's great that the owners are so generous with it. There are also products scattered around Sparta, e.g. 14 foot Spartan at the high school.

Easy to visit when driving through on the I-90 and great for a quick stop. So cool to see the molds they've made including a Big Boy statue, sharks, warriors, slides, big animals, and more.

I had t coax my wife into coming in here on our way past. I had read about it and wanted to see for myself. It is really unusual and excellent. We wandered up and down the rows in this field. There are hundreds of old moulds, that have been used and then stored. After a while you eventually figure out there is some order to what at first seems like a chaotic stacking of moulds. Lots of good photo ops here.

The location of the graveyard might be a bit out of the way, but it's definitely worth the trip. Even my husband said he was glad we stopped. We wandered among the molds which are scattered in a field. It's pretty amazing to see the variety of things that have been produced over the years. A painted holstein cow, a strawberry and several horses provided examples of how nice the finished products are. I was amazed that the company allows people to freely wander the grounds.

Now we know where and how all those amazing characters, animals and water slides come from! Thanks for a great visit!
Be sure to stop when you're in the Sparta area.

With many miles traveled since learning of this and finally having a clear (no rain)day, we decided to take the drive over to friendly Sparta and see this. The dogs and us needed some excercise, so we were off! We wandered around the graveyard in back taking pictures (some gag photos). Spoke with some of the employees who were very friendly and knowledgable. An interesting place to spend some time. Did I mention that the admission was ...FREE? Yes, Free! I really liked that! All in all, interesting. I would like to caution people tho, during summer be cautious about bees & nests! And please park where you're out of the way. We enjoyed our visit!

What hours are they open to look around? Coming for a wedding and will have limited free time. Would like to check this out arrival day if possible.

The old fiberglass molds are stored in a field between the museum and main plant just off the main road. Visitors can stop by any time.

The molds we saw were from orders that had come into the company. I think they keep them on hand for future orders.
