Nice convenient location off the major highway making it very accessible. Lots of trails w/ a good range of difficulty. A few fast lifts in addition the usual ones. Ski school like most places is dependent on a variety of things. But there are some good experienced instructors you can find if you ask for private lessons. KIds under 12... More

We took our 11 year old girls to Cascade Mtn. They had a ski lesson with Bruce (very nice). He took them to a few runs and worked with them to get their confidence up. We had a great day. We went mid week and it wasn't busy so it was great. Nice high speed quad lifts. We will plan... More

We went tubing here. It was best in the morning because there wasn't a lot of people there. As more people arrived, we had to give up our tube after every slide down and get back in line. They really should get more tubes. Night tubing was cool, but the line was super long! We really like that we didn't... More

Cascade mountain is a great place to go snowboarding most of the winter. The cheaper prices and convince to Chicago make it a great weekend getaway. There are only two problems though. 1. Most if not all of the major hotels are in Madison. ( that's 45 minutes away) the second problem is that there is a very lacking food... More

New ski family, saturday outing. Free kids lift tickets with paid adults. Staff very laid back and helpful. Offered lessons, but just hit the slopes instead as we were only planning one day, kids (11,11,8) were going to the top of the mountain within an hour. Green trails along outsides of runs, blues and black diamonds more toward center. A... More

Great place to go and have the option of a lot of runs, especially since they did a recent upgrade and will have more updates in the coming years. Another location we were supposed to ski at was closed due to the warm weather, but that didn't slow Cascade Mountain down. They can make their own snow on every slope... More

Have been going here for years, but they have recently added runs, lifts, updated lifts, new snow making equipment, and much more. When we were there the temperature was around 70º F, so the snow was not in the best shape, but that was no fault of Cascade. Was a blast skiing in shorts and a t-shirt!! The new runs... More

We had a great time here. Food options were good and actually we were able to bring in our own snacks. Took a while to get equipment but that was of no fault of resort, just tedious task. Would have liked more real snow vs. manufactured but again no fault of resort. Loved option of bars on ski lifts. Made... More

The new lift (B-Dub) opens up a new side of the mountain with 3 new long blue runs. Those three runs are fun for intermediate and beginners. They are relatively long for Wisconsin standards. That area is not too busy because you need to skip over to it from the main area (Mountain Express lift). The Cindy Pop lift is... More

Cascade Mountain is the first place I've ever gone snowboarding in. Going here has its advantages. It can accommodate various skill levels. If you don't own your own ski's or snowboards there are rentals available for a pretty good price. Helmets can also be rented but for an additional charge. Plus, there are quite a few ski lift ticket options... More
