Spring break outing

The dinosaur scavenger hunt was exciting. The kids loved it. It kept them interested for about an hour. Thanks museum for another great opportunity in our community.

Stop in and see some interesting things while learning about the history of Oshkosh. Learn about the early years of logging and businesses there were part od the past!

This museum is housed in a home built by the Sawyer family, prominent citizens of Oshkosh, WI. The home alone is worth the trip: Filled with Tiffany glass-work, moldings, art work, and much, much more. The history of Oshkosh and the surrounding areas are fascinating always, to any history buff, but adding the beauty and splendor of the Sawyer home... More

Came here to burn a couple hours when visiting Oshkosh. Fantastic collection of artifacts from Oshkosh's history as well as Wisconsin's. Would go back again.

This museum was a great way to spend an hour or two. It is laid out well and the home itself is beautiful. We would heartily recommend it as a way to spend a little time on a dreary day.

Went to the nutcracker exhibit at the Payne museum..... what a wonderful, magical evening. Every room decorated to correspond with a part of the story of the nutcracker. Amazing..... Then the various displays of interesting and unique nutcrackers are wonderful. Female nutcrackers???? Who knew!!

The exhibits were very well done and staff helpful and informative. There is really an amazing amount of collections to see. We enjoyed the Great Gatsby era exhibit and the Grandma's Attic collection.

This is one of the finest local museums I've ever been to. The exhibits are very well done, and the house it is in is great to see too. We spent a much longer time here than we expected. Highly recommended.

I have been going to the Oshkosh Public Museum since I have been a child. The museum has changed for the better since I've been that little boy. They seem to change exhibits often, while also bringing in MAJOR exhibits. They also have preserved some of the older exhibits that celebrate the history of Oshkosh. I love that they have... More
