The Public Market is really cool -- lots of local foods and drinks. There is also a great bar called Benelux there. The shopping was just ok -- I was hoping for a lot more. Worth a visit, though!

I love visiting the third ward. There are some nice, local shops, good restaurants, and even an “upscale” Goodwill store. The city market is always fun and has vegetarian food options. Parking can be a little tricky but not impossible.More

I would go to the art museum and eat there. Pretty lake views even if art isn't your thing. And there are a couple of places to eat there that have good quality food.
