We were in Wisconsin for a Brewers game and the PGA tournament over the week-end and had some time before our flight so we added a trip to the Oriental Theater and we are damn glad we did. The decor is amazing. Makes you long...More

It's a really cool place...unfortunately the seats feel like they are gonna fall part. Wish they'd invest in some new seating because they are very uncomfortable. But I love it they play quality movies and not just the blockbusters.

In an age of nondescript suburban chain movie theaters, the Oriental is worth visiting to see whatever might be showing, often art house or foreign movies. The lobby is ornate and a great photo op, and the theater itself is even more beautiful. Make sure...More

I don't know what sabers86 is talking about ~ the Oriental is a going concern and one of the absolute best, best, bestest things in Milwaukee. When you go to a movie at the Oriental, the show starts as soon as you round the corner...More

This is by far my favorite place to watch movies in the Greater Milwaukee area. It's not a state-of-the-art mega-plex, but rather a historic art house theater. The ornate main theater is a must-see for anyone visiting Milwaukee. Be sure to arrive a few minutes...More

I got there early after walking up from the lake for my matinee. It was beautiful and air conditioned and so classic. They made me a mixed drink and charged my phone in the back. Above and beyond. I relaxed on the couch with my...More

Old style movie house 2 screens - ornate architecture right down to the tile floors in the restrooms. Best popcorn ever and yes REAL butter! Ahh now that's a movie theatre.

Great selections for the discerning film enthusiast are paired with an amazing atmosphere of this classic cinema. This place is FANCY, and respectful patrons often dress in the same caliber. Before each screening, the theater manager personally addresses the audience to introduce the film, and...More
