Unbelievable facility. Best skating facility this side of Salt Lake or Calgary - maybe even better. Wish we lived closer. Incredible for speed skating. But worth the trip for public skating. You can rent skates and go out on the huge 400m oval - even if you can barely stand on skates, we'll worth the trip - less than 10... More

My grandson plays hockey out of the Pettit and I'm glad he does. Two rinks, wide open spaces and an oval rink for public skating and speed skating . It is also an Olympic training site for speed skaters. I enjoy public skating as my days as a hockey player have long since ended. Even when crowded, the place seems... More

While I love my smaller, local ice rinks and open skating, there's something nice about bringing my children who are learning to skate to a big oval. There's only one direction to skate, there are no fancy tricks happening and there are places to stop and rest along the way. However, as an experienced skater, I can also see how... More

My 11 year old daughter took some figure skating classes at the Pettit this summer while we were in Wisconsin on vacation. The facilities are amazing with 2 full size rinks, and the instructors are all encouraging and helpful. Beware that despite 90+ degree heat outside you wull need a jacket and pants to be inside for more than a... More

Ok so I only stopped because my last name is Pettit but what an interesting place. You can run skate curl etc here. A great asset to the city.

We had planned an outdoor run, but bitter temps forced us inside. We stumbled upon this indoor facility and was very impressed! How cool to run inside, on a full sized track, while world class speedskaters whizz by! Inexpensive, free lockers and plenty of space. What a gem!

As a break from our company sales meeting, we took our ( from mainly warm weather Sates) group curling at the Pettit National Ice Center. Many in the group were slightly interested, and said they would enjoy watching. After a brief introductory lesson from Director Randy Dean, our team transformed itself from quiet, lackadaisical and half-hearted to energized, laughing and... More

The lines to enter were wrapped around the entrance but we got our tickets with plenty of time to skate. Although quite crowded this Sunday afternoon, there was plenty of room to skate without bumping others. The rental skates were adequate, the ice in fine shape and there were plenty of benches for resting. What a wonderful way to get... More

we visited on a Sunday morning, in time to catch time trials for racing skaters as well as two ongoing hockey games. If we could have stayed a bit longer, free skating was available from noon to 4pm. There is also a great walking/running track available free for winter workouts. As we drove by we noticed a sign for "Spend... More

My family and I come here every year for an Irish dance competition. It is a great venue that can accommodate large groups of people easily. There are 2 ice rinks & enough room for about 700 Irish dancers & their families, 6 dance stages, and vendor areas. It is a little chilly, so if you are there all day,... More
