We only had time for one floor of the museum, and loved the Butterfly (live!) exhibit. Next time want to experience some of the movies!

The exhibits are always something that we are interested in. The newer remodeling is greatly appreciated.

Pros: great exhibits... the kids were very interested and it was easy to move through quickly when they weren't. Planetarium show was also great Cons: they have a cafe with a fodder service staff but were unable to accommodate a gluten allergy except to offer a hot dog (no bun) at full price, or a hamburger patty (no bun, full... So many wonderful exhibits and events. We have regular favorites like the Indian Pow Wow, stampede and Igloo to name a few. The dinosaur area is great for children and there are many opportunities for hands on learning at the MPM. We enjoy being members. The gift shop is nice as well.

We don't generally go to museums but were looking to pass some time so thought we would check it out. Definitely provided some historical information about the WI that we would not have otherwise known.

The Milwaukee Public Museum has a very impressive Natural History exhibit that traces the beginnings of our planet, through prehistoric times, to present day. You can see dinosaurs, rainforest animals, geologic specimens, and everything in between. Walking around the butterfly garden and the streets of Old Milwaukee was pretty cool too. We walked around for 2+ hours and didn't see... More

In the last couple years, the Milwaukee Public Museum has upgraded several of its exhibits. The Streets of Old Milwaukee is my son's favorite because of the candy shop that is still a part of the scene. The recent updates, including the street car with moving pictures, and the movie house playing a film about the exhibits, make the experience... More

This place is awesome! The exhibits are so well done. My favorite was the butterfly room, hundreds of different butterflies and moths as well as an exhibit of the caterpillars,in various stages of metamorphosis. The museum has 3 floors, so don't dawdle like we did! Lol The Old Milwaukee Village and European Villages are great. The exhibits from different countries... More

A favorite of our family. We enjoyed the redone Streets of Old Milwaukee and took in a great IMAX film.

My husband and I both grew up near Milwaukee, attending this museum on school trips and family outings 30+ years ago. We've since moved across the country but enjoy returning with our children when visiting family in the area. The Streets of Old Milwaukee, Butterfly exhibit and Planetarium are not to be missed in my opinion. The Christmas decorations and... More

The adjacent parking garage is owned by the city and as such they set their own pricing. Museum members pay $5 for parking in the garage. Museum memberships pay for themselves in just two visits. We also reciprocate with other ASTC museums worldwide. Thank you for the review. More
