This water tower has been described by many as a witches tower or some old church, even an old light house! LOL If only these people would go up to the building and read the plaque to find out it is a water tower to provide pressure to this area above the Lake. Up close the building has some great masonry and carvings worth checking out, the surrounding park is nice, but small; near St. Mary's hospital.

We went by the water tower and noticed its resemblance to the Chicago Water Tower. Turns out this was the third water tower built after Philadelphia and Chicago. The tower actually just covers a big pipe that is used to relieve pressure.

Very nice water tower. Looks fantastic. Very tall structure. Free to gander. Not far from Lake Michigan.

This was an interesting and beautiful site. We didn't think of it being a water tower. Lovely way to make it beautiful.

The North Point Water Tower is similar to, but smaller than a water tower on Chicago’s Magnificent Mile. While it’s interesting to see a functional structure designed in an aesthetically pleasing way, there’s not much to do except look at it or spend some time in the small surrounding park in a very nice neighborhood of Milwaukee.

Kill time walking around the historical neighborhood or hospital area. This landmark water tower stands out north of downtown. Park on the side streets to seek shade and no fees.

I was surprised I didn't find a review on this website for this site. It is actually a park and walk over to site but very nice Gothic Revival style building from 1873. When we visited it was fenced off as they were preparing to work on it. So not sure if it has been completed yet and whether you can do go into it or just admire the architecture of it.
But it was worth walking over too and checking out on your way to the lighthouse.
We were actually trying to find the lighthouse when we saw this. Then we never did find the lighthouse.
