Description:

Harley-Davidson motorcycles bring heart-thumping adventure, life-changing...

Harley-Davidson motorcycles bring heart-thumping adventure, life-changing freedom and a bit of rebellion into the lives of people around the world. But whether you were born to be wild - or mild - makes no difference at the Harley-Davidson Museum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Much more than a nostalgia trip for motorcycle enthusiasts, the Museum offers a glimpse of American history and culture like you've never seen before - through the successes and trials of an iconic American company. Interactive, eye-catching exhibits present an unparalleled collection of legendary stories of our nation's last century.

Located on 20 acres in downtown Milwaukee, the Museum offers free parking, Motor Bary & Restaurant, Cafe Racer, The Shop, park-like outdoor spaces, special event rentals, guided tours for group of 15 or more, and Steel Toe Tours of the Powertrain Operations, home of the big-twin engine.

Great history of the bikes

Spent an afternoon at the meuseum. If your a Harley rider, well worth the stop. They have several bikes on display, from when they first started production to current bikes.

Of course you expect to see a lot of motor cyles, but they have used the space very well. Interesting facts for the adults, and interactive displays for the children. Found staff more than willing to help and to answer questions. Never owned a Harley, but really enjoyed it!

Was looking for something to do over the weekend while visiting Milwaukee and figured this would be a unique opportunity. I enjoyed the history behind the company and had a great time. The World War II era was very cool.

We went there for the boy scouts to earn their Merit badge and it was awesome... The tour guide we had did an amazing job. There is so much to learn. I think they did a good job getting it all together from the history to hand on stuff. Would definitely go back again...

I visited Harley with family and have taken in town guests here to eat and to visit the museum. The history and stories are fascinating and if you get a chance to have a test "ride" on the stationary motorcycle, that is way cool.

From the shed of the founders to all the bikes through the decades, this is fun just for the history even if you've never been on a Harley-Davidson motorcycle. I especially was fascinated by the war bikes.

The Harley Davidson Museum was near the Bus Terminal and Ramada Hotel in Milwaukee. In fact, I went there in one of my walking tours and was gratified to see the different amazing Harley Davidson motorcycles. Be fascinated and enjoy the sights at the museum especially if you are into motorcycles.

My husband, who has owned a Harley since 2002, spent about two hours in the museum. A few times, I found a seat, while he looked at exhibits that weren't as interesting to me. We definitely received our $20 (entrance fee) worth of HD history. However, the average person may not find the cost reasonable. I recommend this Museum to... More
