Stopped by the area for about 15 minutes to see a few interesting things I'd heard of such as a Cat cafe where you can do yoga with a cat, eat a meal while petting cats, etc. and this alley.
The art was varied in size and style, colors, themes, and the building made for a great canvas for the expressions of the artists. It was well worth the time and if you are in the area this is a must see.

Venture on over to Black Cat Alley to check out the really cool street art/murals by local artists. There are some really great murals that make good photo ops. Also, don't miss out on the Sip & Purr coffee shop at the entrance to the alley where you can enjoy a cup of coffee and pet some adorable cats available for adoption.

This alley that is just east and runs parallel to N. Prospect Ave. between E.Kenilworth Pl. and E. Ivanhoe Place feature large murals along a short pedestrian-only alley.
Much of he art has a tag with some info on the artist with a QR code that can be scanned for more in-depth info.
It is well lit and well-travelled.
The north end of it is adjacent to Sip & Purr Cat Café where people stop by to grab some sustenance and play with cats that are available for adoption.

I always appreciate a good art walk. This one is hidden in between two city buildings that at first you wouldn’t notice. Beautiful artwork

The trip through this alley is really fun and interesting. The murals offer lots of variety---as you enter or exit the alley from the south end do not forget to look up and spy the enormous frog mural with the 7 story eyeball! This location is within easy walking distance of many food and drink venues (Collectivo Coffee, Beans and Barley, and Simple Cafe for breakfast, or Ma Fischer for local color, and Yo Factory Yogurt plus lots more.) Nearby activities include Landmark Bowling for some local fun, the ever popular Oriental Theater, Whole Foods, Blick art supply and a yogurt store, Urban outfitters and others. The area can be accessed from the Oak Leaf bike trail using the exit ramp between Prospect and Farwell. There are several Bublr stations within one block. I am not sure if the alley is lighted at night.

We stopped here as a fun work outing and part of MKE City Tours. What a great place to have urban art!

We made a stop here to take some Senior photos and was pleasantly surprised by the murals, which made a great backdrop for many of the pictures. I look forward to returning with my youngest when it is time for her pictures.

Black Cat Alley was the second stop for senior pictures. Vibrant paintaings by local artists provides a colorful and different backdrop for my daughters senior pictures. A yoga class was taking place and there were dozens of other people taking pictures but it was not overcrowded. Keep in mind this is literally an Alley so there is some garbage in the ground. If you can get past that it’s a fun place to see in Milwaukee’s east side.
