We visited Copper Falls in May after some heavy rains. The Bad River & Tyler River were rushing which made for some great falls and river views. The loop trail is 1.7 miles long with lots of steps, but worth the hike. You will see...More

The Copper Falls are well worth the moderate effort it takes to complete the viewing loop. The trails are easy to walk along while most people and kids will find the same with the slate steps. I thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon I spent at Copper...More

We visited Copper Falls this week. There are three beautiful falls, cascades and deep gorges. A trail around Copper Falls allows for great photography. There is a walking trail for persons with disabilities with an overlook of Brownstone Falls and the Bad River gorge. We...More

This is the perfect place to take a hike and enjoy nature at its finest. As you work your way through the trails in the park, you are met with small and larger waterfalls in a setting of beautiful rock formations! Bring a picnic basket...More

What a great way to spend a beautiful early spring day! My only warning is that there are lots of steps. We counted over 800 up and down, including the observation tower, and that is not counting inclines. But, thanks to ibuprofen and knee braces,...More

I've had this park on my list for years due to word of mouth raving. I expected more. The waterfall hike is a protected area but littered with trash. Normally I'd collect it as I go but I left my bags in the car. The...More

Two rivers merge and there are two decent sized waterfalls close to eachother in a gorge. Walking the loop around the falls and to the other side is a great way to spend an afternoon. The stairs are extremely slippery in the winter (ice covered)...More

Great park, great place to walk! This is one of the best maintained state parks I've been to in WI, probably due to the high traffic. Pick an early morning or off season to avoid the crowds. I can see how parking might get tricky...More

Hiked the falls for the afternoon. Was beautiful to see with the fall colors. Very well taken care of trails and spectacular views of the falls. The only disappointment was the lookout tower. It was a long hike up to it, and once you got...More

Well run and maintained plus the falls and other sites are gorgeous. As others note, the tower isn't outstanding due to the height of the trees, but I'm glad we did the hike and climb. Falls are super. Bring a lunch and enjoy the day...More

Looking to come view the falls in the winter season and just wondering what the paths are like to get to them. Are you able to walk to them or would you need snow shoes or cross country skis?

The trails nearest the falls are for walking (or snowshoeing). They get icy so footfangs, the spikes to attach to shoes/boots, would be helpful. There are also ski trails.

Sorry, have no information on the concession operations. Maybe try calling the park Info line or their website may have some info. We did not eat there.

If you can fit your truck down a regular street, then it should be able to navigate the roads and parking lots here just fine. The roads are mainly paved and wide, until you get to the campsites.
