This event was amazing... very well done. My only suggestion is to supply more information when you purchase tickets. People need to know what kinds of shoes to wear; it ws very slushy.
Also better signage while driving in the dark to show where to go; it is a long dive in after you turn off.

I can’t believe I spent $60 for me and my daughter to go here. Even my 8 year old thought it was crap. I could just cry at the money wasted. It was ice igloos, not ice castles. I’ve seen much better ice sculptures for free at ice sculpting contests. I hope this review deters a single mom from spending hard earned money to take her kids here. The people running this clearly do not have a conscience and think nothing of robbing people. This should be called Winter Injustice.by Ice Igloos.

I have always heard good things about this experience so I was excited to go. While it was something different, I thought it was just ok. It wasn't as big as I thought it would be but interesting to see how they were sculpted. I think it would be really fun for families with younger children who can crawl around through the small tunnels. The admission price was reasonable at around $30 but what I thought was unreasonable was the price of the sleigh ride at $25 per person. On the website, it boasts about sleigh rides but doesn't state that it costs an extra fee, almost the same price as admission. They offer warm alcoholic drinks, which is a nice touch, but mine and my bf's drink didn't taste very good. This didn't really surprise me as they were made by underaged girls who obviously didn't have any experience in making alcoholic drinks. We did eat at the restaurant they make you walk through to exit and the chicken quesadilla was tasty. The service we had was also good and prompt. This experience will be a one-and-done for me unless they can make it more attractive for me to go.

My daughter and I drove from Oshkosh to Lake Geneva (2 ½ hours) to see the ice castles. I never received an email or text stating that the date had been delayed and that our tickets were canceled, and when I had looked at the website earlier in the week their was nothing to indicate that we were not a go. We had a reservation for 8pm and were let in the gates with no problem or mention again that the venue had not started. Once in the gate we followed my GPS to the club house at the Geneva. I was very confused as the area was very dark and thought we maybe could not see the lights from the other side. We walked up to the door and saw the board that said the venue had been delayed. My daughter was quite upset, and the whole experience was very bizarre. The door was open so I was able to get the contact card from one of the gentleman inside and he said to reach out to the support team. I received an email the following day about the Ice Castles opening for the season, so there is no reason that I should not have received a cancelation email. They refunded my tickets but I received a form email response, and very little concern regarding us being allowed to go into a venue that was not even open.

Horrible communication from this organization. While this may be a fantastic experience, our tickets got cancelled without notice or explanation. Even on the website there's no explanation as to why Jan 30th tickets got cancelled. I get that with an outdoor experience things can change, but since I bought tix months ago due to the competition it's disappointing there's no option to make it up. At a minimum, say sorry, you apologize, etc...but zero help or explanation.

Sounds like a great place if you can get tickets. I tried booking tickets last year they were sold out so, this year, I booked tickets as soon as they went on sale. A month later I got an email saying that the tickets were refunded with no explanation. Took me forever to find someone who could tell me why and was told they pushed the season back to February. Tried booking tickets for February and they were sold out. Took me a while to find a contact email for Ice Castles and was told there was nothing they could do. Very disappointing.

I would recommend doing this at least once. Very unusual fun experience. Dress warm of course. Love the nooks and tunnels that the ice formed.

We took the long ride to visit the ice castles. We made an afternoon of it so we first went out to eat and explored downtown a bit before heading over to the ice castles. Our time was 6:30 which was perfect. The ice castles are pretty the kids had fun on the slides. The downfall is that they got busy as it got darker and it was almost too crowed. Lines for pictures, slides etc. we spent an hour in the castle which was enough we explored the whole thing and took our time. Not sure how people could stay hours. We then got hot coco from a truck they had on site with some patio heaters.

When you invite people on to your property to walk around and charge them a healthy fee I think you should provide a reasonable walking surface. Outdoors in winter I don't expect the best but this was terrible. The ground was uneven and had icy spots. Then the whole thing was covered by a few inches of loose snow so you can't see where to step. I am a regular hiker on different terrains and I found it awkward. I slid around. I brought a couple friends one of who can walk OK but is a bit unsteady at times. I thought it should be OK. He fell a few times. The other got tired ankles. It was so bad we skipped most of it and left early. It was a long drive and high price just to be disappointed.

Today I got my email confirmation-so excited to get out and do something fun in the winter weather. It is 12 degrees in Wisconsin today. A few hours later they send a cancellation due to “warm” weather. It’s sunny and cold??! So disappointed and you can’t contact anyone except by email. Said they are closed until Sunday
