This museum has a short movie about the local history and is full of history about Madeline Island.....interesting displays and artifacts. Quite a diverse spectrum off displays....trapping, logging, native people etc. Nice gift shop as well. Price is $8/adult and $7/senior.

The local Great Lakes history was described in the interesting displays, almost like storyboards. Also, the staff were friendly and well informed, open to questions and sharing.

We visited the museum for the second time today and we loved it again! It provides a great history of the island and the people that inhabited here over time. There are some great interactive displays with costumes and games that my children really enjoyed....More

The people running the museum are very friendly, and the exhibit does go thru several rooms, it's not very organized or specific. Most of the items are just old regional trapping or home items. Very few things were related to a historic family or event....More
