A jewel in an out of the way city. You would never think a beautiful, holy shrine like this is in a small town in Wisconsin. Mary's blue chapel is awesome. As you walk further up, you see a wonderful fountain. The Stations of the Cross are along the path. When you get to the Church it is amazing! If... More

This is our third visit, and we seriously cannot wait to return. We brought our four kids (ages 7 and under) and they also enjoyed their time. The weather wasn't great, but the visit itself wasn't marred by the rain and wind. Very family friendly, the restaurant is delicious and extremely reasonably priced, the Shrine itself is beyond-words-gorgeous, and it's... More

We were on a long weekend vacation and found the shrine mentioned in a travel brochure. we went on a friday, not busy. we have visited many other religious shrines and churches in wisconsin and chicago, so we have something to compare guadalupe to. this was spectacular. the church is beatiful, the shrine to the unborn will invoke many emotions,... We had an incredible visit and tour! The grounds are great and well cared for. The employees are very friendly and knowledgable. The hills may be too much for folks with special needs, but they offer rides in covered carts. It might be best to avoid in the snow or ice, but it is well worth the trip. We would... More

A beautiful and peaceful experience. We enjoyed the beautiful grounds and experience of walking the pilgrimage up the hill. The church is beautiful. What a wonderful way to spend a day. Also enjoyed a wonderful lunch at the Shrine's restaurant. Also a very nice gift shop.

Or if you're unable to walk get a ride on the golf cart to the Shrine at the top of the hill. Very beautiful grounds, nice gift shop. We only had soup and salad which was good but can't comment on entrees. The short tour of the votive candel building hearing the stories surrounding world wide apparition sites was very... More

Outside the city limits of LaCrosse, this shrine is almost hidden from view but is well worth visiting to stroll the grounds and view the shrine.

My wife and I went to see this shrine inside for the first time. I had seen the outside once when it was being built roughy ten years ago. It is a significant treasure in the LaCrosse area for anyone who is Christian and particularly for those who are Catholics. It has several relics of saints and is dedicated to... More

The shrine is lovely and if you are Catholic and wish to make a pilgrimage to do the way of the cross or rosary walks it is a good destination. The brothers that are associated with the shrine offer masses in the main chapel that are old style Latin masses. I was disappointed to learn that it is only 10... More

As a practicing Catholic, it adds a special spiritual component to the visit to the area. Going to confession and Mass was awesome. Don't miss out!
