My husband and I were so glad we made this side stop while traveling to Door County, WI. We love trying new and different foods. They have a unique variety of cherry products. All that we tried were delicious. Cherry pie of course, tart cherry juice, dark chocolate covered dried cherries, cherry syrup and more!!! Yum-o!

These folks have such flavorful products - their chocolate covered dried cherries got us started. We purchased extra dried cherry-blueberry-cranberry trail mix for gifts - and for ourselves for the trip home, ha. Their cherry drink is so refreshing - just slightly tart...leaves a pleasant taste! Visit their store in Forestville and enjoy their hospitality.

If heading up to or back from Door County along Wisconsin 42 between Algoma and Sturgeon Bay, this is a decent 10-15 minute stop. You head east from the main junction in town by the gas station and go 150 yards. While the name outside is Country Ovens, it is almost all centered on cherries. They have frozen, dried, chocolate... Many of their products can be found through Door County. BUT this is a nice small business in a quaint town and worth a stop. You will find their prices are 15-20% better the all of Door County. The tart cherry juice was 4.99 a quart and Costco sells it for 20.00 a quart. The chocolate cover cherry's are wonderful.

This small shop specializes in dried cherry products including chocolate - covered cherries, pie cherries, and a quality trail mix with cherries, blueberries, cranberries, pistachios, walnuts, cashews, and pecans. Multiple samples are available. The staff was very friendly, but the owner was a little stand-offish.

In doing my research (which I did a LOT of) before leaving for Door County I had read that this place was a "must see." I would NOT classify it as such. EVERYTHING you see here is sold in other stores throughout Door County at similar prices. I expected a larger shop with factory tours. This was a small shop,... More

Thursday, August 9, 2007 ~ What a pleasant surprise. We had stopped for a restroom break at a McDonalds/Gas Station. He saw a little pamphlet about this delightful little all cherries market. I paid for my bag of cheese curds while he planned a little side stop. Somewhere on WI 42. If your travels take you near this cute little... More
