The largst of Door County's state parks, Peninsular hugs the shorelien and bluffs above Green Bay. It's big enough for TWO cemeteries and a golf course; the legendary Vince Lombardi used to drive up an hour or so from Green Bay to play here. But...More

While the weather was not great when I was there, I still had a blast. It helps to come before the major crush of tourists arrives. There are hiking and biking trails, a golf course, a lighthouse, and they're building a new observation tower soon....More

This is one of Wisconsin's premier parks. It is difficult to get a reservation on a summer weekend, but less difficult if you can go during the week. I try to come back at least one time a year.

This parks provides great views from different points. I have visited state park in fall with my friends and in summer with my parent. It's a one time visit place. Definitely a lot more gorgeous in Fall though.

We came to the park to view the ending of a 5K run. The drive through the park was relaxing as well as beautiful! We spent most of our time on Nicolet Beach where all the activities were. The view at the shoreline is breathtaking...More

If you like minimal crowds this is the place to be in April. We seemed to have the whole park to ourselves so walks in the woods were especially quiet and peaceful.

Hello, I wondered if you have to pay a vehicle fee each time you enter the park? It looks like it may be less expensive to just purchase an annual pass vs. paying for each day - but wondered what your experience was and if there were plenty of trails to hike each day for a week? Thanks! Chris

They told us a daily sticker would be good for the weekend, but we qualify for the annual sticker for seniors so we got that
