An oasis of peace and quiet. Definitely stop by and enjoy.
This was our second visit to The Ridges and this time we had good weather and dry trails. The trail to the lighthouses is a great walk on a wooden plank walkway. Trails leading off the walkway are well maintained and well marked. I love that there are so many places to just sit, breath, and enjoy nature. Gift shop has a variety of items, but I love the nature-themed greeting cards by Sarah Angst.

Nice way to spend the morning!
My husband and I trekked across the peninsula from Ephraim to check this out and go on a short walk. $10 total for us to go in, and we followed the map we were given. We saw the range lights which history was very interesting. The area is clean and a lot to see and read along the way! Nice way to spend a morning in Door County!

    Highly recommend
Had heard about this place but never stopped before, now wondering what took me so long! The Ridges has great paths for walking, most wide boardwalk making it easy for anyone with strollers, walkers or balance concerns. Even though we were there when things were not growing, it’s easy to see how attractive and interesting this would be in the summer. $5 donation suggestion, well worth it to help maintain and enhance this beautiful place. You can learn a lot about the area and employee working inside was very informative. Nice gift shop, good educational experience. Will be a must stop place for future trips.

Beautiful place. A door County treasure. Thank goodness they preserved this amazing land. The flora and fauna are unmatched.

It was more than I imagined and did hear plenty of birds even in February. Enjoyed going inside and seeing Emerson. Has 2 floors.

This was a very interesting nature walk that was easy to navigate, and manageable for limited mobility. Info on the website. Affordable. $5.

There are a handful of indoor exhibits that are nice, but the real reason to attend is to do the trails. Looks like there are some other rooms and buildings that can be used for groups (assuming for field trips) as well.

It costs $5 per adult and children are free. The initial part of the trail is on a boardwalk and while it was a little slick because a bunch of snow melted, it was still nice and would recommend it for people that have a hard time walking or are handicapped. That portion of the trail is well-kept.

Once you leave the boardwalk, there are different trails you can take through the woods. The trails are marked ok, but it could be a little better. Also, there are some bridges as well that have shown their age and could be replaced.

Overall, we had a good time and would definitely recommend getting some exercise and enjoying nature!

The trails at the Ridges are designed so that you can tailor your walk to whatever distance works for you. In the summer there will be mosquitos, so be prepared. After our second hike there we paid for a membership because we knew we'd be back often and we wanted to support them.
