This was deff a nice place to visit but would be better in late spring. We went in fall there was a lot of construction going on but it looked like they were putting a lot of new things in. The tour is short but detailed. The grounds are beautiful but the palace is not as big as it looks... More

We had heard from friends and relatives how beautiful this place was. However I think we picked the wrong season to come visit. Most of the flowers had already been pulled out and the flowers in the rose garden were on their way out as well. There were no lotus flowers in the pond either. They are also currently working... This Hare Krishna community was very beautiful, and informative. We took a tour, and visited inside the Palace. It is stunning!. The rose gardens are beautiful, but my favorite scenery was the lotus pond, and the peacocks on the road. They offer cabins for those who have traveled and need a restful stay. Well worth the trip, both culturally and... More

We visited the Palace of Gold during a road trip to Fallingwater. It is a Hare Krishna community that features a vegetarian restaurant, beautiful grounds and temple, cabins and rooms for overnight stays, and the Palace which is something to see. Built by volunteer devotees, it has gorgeous stained glass, tons of intricate marble, painted ceilings and designs, and a... More

An interesting place to visit, filled with 52 varieties of marble and onyx on the floor and walls. Also you will ind there stunning stained glass windows. You will enjoy rose garden and breath taking view over forest hills and valleys. Note that all work was done by volunteers only.

We were passing through near here so decided to stop. The road to it is very windy and takes some time. We just walked the grounds ourselves and didn't do a tour. They are updating the outside and it seems to have come a long way. Everything was freshly painted gold and the flowers were all beautiful. The air was... More

I visited the Palace of Gold during their Festival of Colors. It was the first time in about 8 years that I have been there. Both the roads and the property have been improved since that time. Did not take the tour of the palace, but did tour the rest of the grounds. The gardens were in bloom and were... More

We arrived and found it difficult to figure out where to buy tickets to see as somewhat rundown building (at least from the outside). Drove further and found a closed welcome center. Did meet a nice lady that helped us find out way back to the palace. It took a while to find the entrance, with a tour guide. Know... More

The exotic nature of this place is out of this world. Who would have thought that this place is located in West Virginia? Beautiful lotus blossoms, organic rose garden, the best vegetarian restaurant in the Ohio Valley, and truly a cultural experience that you will never forget. After touring the palace make sure that you check out the temple near... More

Very surprised to find a palace of gold in West Virginia. Currently under renovation, but still able to tour the temple and the grounds. Very beautiful. Tour of the temple was educational and beautiful. Learned a lot and enjoyed the experience.
