Fun little walk to find his statue <1 mile walk from hotel. Many restaurants/shops in area. Looks just like him, we had fun taking many pics. In front of metropolitan theatre.

Quaint restaurants and beautiful scenery. The WVU campus and Ruby Memorial Hospital where our daughter works are beautiful complex’s. We visited Coopers Rock which was a short drive from Downtown. Also visited Blackwater Falls which was a hour and a half’s drive but so worth it! The Riverwalk along the Monongahela River is very relaxing as well! And of course, visiting Don Knotts statue was a treat!

Don Knotts was a fabulous entertainer and an all around nice man. And the statue really looks like him. Worth a visit and a photo!

Don Knotts is from Morgantown and they installed a great life-sized bronze of him in downtown. A great selfie spot and lots of great shopping, eating and dining in the district.

It's a nice way to remember a famous actor from the area, but the location and placement will leave you far more speechless than will the actual statue. Try not to mind the bubble gum and bird poop.

We liked this little downtown a lot and thought it was well worth paying for a parking spot for an hour to see the cute little downtown streets, downtown square, and yes, don knotts statue (hes a morgantown wv native with a fascinating entertainment career for those who don't know him at first glance).
We enjoyed visiting this during our time in morgantown and think everyone should stop and pay a visit to this well-kept, clean, and clearly loved downtown area during a visit to morgantown.

Pulled up, parked in front of theater, jumped out and took a couple of pics and left. Nothing much to say, except I paid respects to a comic genius. Loved him in Andy Griffith.

Easy to find statue. Just wish the theater was open so we could go inside. Would definitely stop again.
