We went there for our first time. Unforunately, they had not had much natural snow but had been making snow. The snow tubing was not open until our second day there due to the lack of snow and cold weather. We did snow tube the second day and it was really fun. The runs were long and fun. However they... Fun place to spend the day. Small venue but big enough to do what you need to. This isn't Vail but it's quite good for the money. Fair pricing on food as well

So I'll start by saying I grew up skiing in the Rocky Mtns. and there is no comparison. That being said, Winterplace has thus far been the best place I've skied out in the Mid-Atlantic Coast. There was a good variety of Green and Blue runs which is what my family is looking for. We got a package deal of... More

This is our go to place for a day trip or a weekend. I used to be a ski shop manager and soft goods buyer. At that time I was able to ski anywhere free. It was my motto to never ever ski on MLK weekend. The group from Florida who don't know how to ski made it crowded and... More

This small resort has Ryan's entrails groomed just like the larger ones out west. Really nice blues and greens and a mix of black. Right on the edge of the mountain so the lifts are super Swift and the lines are not long at all. There are snow machines going 24 hours a day so you always have fresh powder.... More

If you need a ski resort that is drivable on the East Coast, this isn't bad. Like many ski resorts, Winterplace is out dated although they are planning some park updates. This is really a skiers park and snowboarding seems to be an afterthought. Several of us rented snowboards and our board bindings were loose and there was really no... More

My family and I have been going to Winterplace for about 5-6 years now so our kids can ski. My wife and I do not ski so we take advantage of a great tube runs they have there. Winterplace is only about 3 hours from our home and we have gone up so the kids can ski just for the... More

I enjoy this ski resort! It is easy to get to as only 75 minutes from where I live in Charlestown and is conveniently located right off the interstate. While if your a very experienced skier you may find this ski resort to easy, but for most people including myself it is perfect. And the prices and reasonable.
