I have officiated two weddings at Heston Farm and the staff and facilities are both excellent. Unfortunately, one was very hot and the other was impacted by the rain. It is unusual when weather is not a factor at an outdoor event so it was to be expected. The facilities were nice and both weddings were beautiful.

Surprised to see such a lovely winery (which also distills whiskey) in the heart of West Virginia. Family friendly play area for the wine sipping. Go for the 3 free sippings at the tasting bar instead of the 6 and a "free" wineglass for $6. There is a gift shop on premise too and the whiskey sippings are free for those who don't care for wine.

My family has frequented Heston Farms in almost every capacity-- as a guest or host for large functions on the property, smaller ones outside in the front patio, or inside the restaurant and tasting room in the last several years. We love to have the silo for business dinner meetings- far enough away for privacy but still in the main area. New food chef/caterers are great- menu is fresh in ingredients as well as new takes on recipe standards. Staff is friendly, however some kinks need to be worked out with the wait staff. Our last visit proved that was happening (much better service). The ambience/decor is adorable. Don't hesitate on coming.

I have visited this restaurant every summer for the past three years. I can't quite put my finger on it but this year's visit was a bit disappointing. My food was great (collard greens were excellent!) but my friend's was not. When she later told the server, there was really no response. My husband was a little disappointed with his food this year, and described it as just not tasting as wonderfully good as it did in the past, and being just okay. As he put it, "There was no Wow Factor this year." Sadly, this is no longer our favorite restaurant.

Could not believe that the whiskey and moonshine sampling was free. Loved the inexpensive wine tasting of unique wines, specifically named for animals that inhabited the farm. Did not eat at the Mason Jar but the grilled food smelled delicious! The majestic view driving down to the farm is gorgeous! Definitely worth the drive!

We considered going here for dunner and decided to go after dinner to walk around the farm and enjoy a wine tasting. So glad we did not go for dinner. The pmace is run down with mo animals. The wine tasting offered no information about any if the wines. My husband enjoed a free whisky tasting. The wines were quite sweet as othets have said. I would not go back.

Free tastings. Interesting whiskey and brandy. Not currently doing distillery tours which was disappointing. Very interesting decor-- lots to look at. Tried the restaurant for quick bite. Pepperoni rolls are great and the peach chutney that came with the fried green tomatoes was delicious! Very pleasant service.
