Appalachian Power Park is aging a bit. The handicapped parking situation was awful. Road ramps from the parking to the park had large lips. I fought to get out of my wheelchair so that we could lift the chair over the "ramp". Charleston has some of the nicest people in the world. Fortunately, two wonderful gentlemen helped us. Appalachian Power Park is home to the West Virginia Power of the Atlantic League.. The quality of baseball was outstanding. Concessions were fantastic but no vendors in the stands. Great handicapped seating with super sightlines. Super friendly staff. I'll definitely go back.

My sin and I went to watch the Power whip Ashville 6-5. This is a great place for your family. Very cheap entertainment. Go on any Monday and everything is a dollar. Even on a regular nite its so cheap to go. Go for a game when ya can.

Nice baseball stadium and if you cannot afford the entrance fee to the ball game you could always watch the game from several vantage pint on the sidewalk.
There was no ball games on when we visited which was a shame as we like the friendly atmosphere of the ball games.

Thank you for the kinds words. We offer affordable tickets for everyone. Nobody need watch from the sidewalk, especially on Mondays when they can get in for only $1 and get $1 hot dogs, soda and popcorn. We look forward to having you visit our ballpark during a game next season.

Thank you for taking the time to post a review. We work hard to make everyone’s experience as good as yours and it’s rewarding when we can accomplish our goal. We have 16 games remaining including a Back to School Night this coming Saturday. We look forward to having you back at our ballpark before the end of the season.

We were overnight tourists looking for something to do at night and chose a ballgame. The park is nice enough, and we got real good seats at a great price. Very nice atmosphere and we enjoyed our stay.

We were able to get seats under the only awning right behind home plate for this very warm and sunny Sunday afternoon game. Perfect! (most other games are evening games with setting sun behind you,) Tasty usual ballpark food. Good, big, meaty hotdogs, peanuts, popcorn, beer, etc. Small but very well laid out park. Restaurants with patio if you prefer. Not many people at all even though it was "PBS Kids Day". Fun time for our whole family.

I have been coming to see the WV Power at Appalachian Power Park for many years with my family. On this occasion on Friday, my son and I came to see them play Delmarva. This is such a great place to bring the family for good, wholesome, clean family fun. It is always entertaining, especially in the Toastman sections of 106, 107 and even 108! You are never bored or want to just sit on your hands. You are encouraged to cheer with the Toastman for each player, each play and especially on strike 2 just anticipating the opponents strike out. Then everyone joins the Toastman and crew to chant,"You are Toast!" On Fridays after the game you can get player autographs, and enjoy a fantastic fireworks display that rivals most towns 4th of July displays. The food is great and affordable. The tickets are so inexpensive that anyone can afford them. However on Mondays it is dollar days where you can get in for a buck or two, get dollar hot dogs, popcorn and even a Coke for a buck each! I will always return but if you haven't been, I encourage you to give it a try! You'll be hooked after that.

Great ball game but over priced low quality food. Party deck, when oprn, is probably the better deal for food drinks beer snacks. The park is the only thing in Charleston to do. Security does a great job. The inflatable childrens area closes early so go if you are going. The home team hides under the party deck but the visiting teams sits out on the third base area for guests to speak to. Bathroims are dirty and smelly rarely cleaned. Some extra events during the season.

We enjoy baseball so we go frequently, however the park is poorly managed, many changes and not for the better have occurred. Most of the food items are way overpriced and very low quality. The hotdogs can be used to cure constipation. Beware that the beers are frequently sold as 16oz but you will get a 12oz. The venue claims a non-smoking venue but fan frequently hide and smoke around the 3rd base concourse because it is an easy place to hide and there are no ramifications/punishments for sneaking and smoking. The party deck is okay but the food is cheap and low quality - great for drinkers. The deck blocks the view from the restaurant. Park was poorly designed then the parts added later made things worse. Bathrooms need repairs, beer taps need cleaned and decent employees should be hired. Management is poor and seems to only get worse. Eat before you go and plan on paying too much.
