we had a great time and the staff were great, they seen I had trouble with the steps and they showed me another way out so I wouldn't have to walk back up them. I have bad knees and I really appreciated this more than they knew

I live in Huntington and travel to events in Charleston often. We have 3 kids. The Civic center has seen offering a great range of entertainment for adults and children. Ticket prices vary depending on the event but typically you can get good deals. The arena is set up where you can see decently even from the top and that's... More

Good overall place for most venues. Doesn't always lend itself well, but is typically good, For example, Monster Trucks/Monster Jam just does not make a great show in the small arena. We've been there for Disney on Ice, the WV International Auto Show, several concerts, etc. They're usually fine. My biggest complaint is actually a tie between the entry/box office... More

The Civic Center has been a staple in Charleston for decades. Whether you want to see a hit artist or a college basketball game or maybe the West Virginia High School basketball tournament this place never didappoints. It's a very nice venue.

We went to a concert at the civic center. The lines for the bathrooms was ridiculous. Probably 50 yards long. Otherwise, the place was fine, but that's a huge negative.

We went here to see Garth Brooks in concert and it was a great show! Our seats were great (sec 121, row O), although there was a pole that was in the way. But we were standing up anyway, and moved back and forth for pics so the pole wasn't always in our way. I liked how on the back... More

What a freakin ridiculous concert! Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood put in a great show and there was not a bad seat in the house as they had four huge monitors projecting every direction and they worked the stage the entire time. Even with the Civic Center under construction everything went well.

No handicapped accessible entrance! I understand the construction, but accommodations have to be made for this.
