This is always the must do stop for gas and a little break to stretch the legs on our way to the beach. Clean and comfortable, with lovely sights, crafts made by WV artisans, for sore eyes after being in the car for hours. I...More

We stopped her again on the way back from a trip to the Midwest. The food at their grill and restaurant is fantastic (their staff use to be Greenbrier people). Their prices have recently increased considerably over just the past several years, but the food...More

We always stop at Tamarack in Beckley West Virginia on our way to Florida. We take a bit longer route than the typical I-75 road race, traveling down I-77 instead. Tamarack is a great artist's venue with hundreds of artists and thousands of gifts available...More

We stop here every time we are in the area. We love to see the beautiful work by local artisans. Every state should have a "Tamarack". This trip I bought a thumb piano. Hope to learn how to play it.

We had passed by Tamarack while traveling through the area and likely would not have visited without the strong recommendations of family members. So, we decided to stop and had the luxury of a couple of hours to enjoy lunch and a leisurely browse through...More

Unique pieces of art inside and out. Friendly people. Food area was confusing so we walked by it. I did like a blenko glass but it was $30 for just one medium sized glass. Glass ornaments were around $16 each and very beautiful.

What is Tamarack? I kept seeing signs for it as I drove through West Virginia. I finally arrived, was stunned by the outside of the building, and thrilled by the ease of parking. Outdoor sculptures and interesting plantings greeted me. Inside, a wonderland of paintings,...More

Don't miss the food, prepared by the Greenbrier resort. Why anyone would stop down the hill at the rest area when t his food is sitting only minutes away. Menu varies from day to day, but the hands down favorite is the chicken pot pie.

I have seen such an article before; I do not know if that would be currently sold at Tamarack, but you could Google and find it easily.

I'm not sure about tamarack but there is a travel center right beside it, which has ample parking. I assume they allow overnight parking.
