we are locals that wanted to get some WV marbles for our son and visit the penny press machine for a while. we got what we wanted but there is soooo much more. I was kind of shocked at the baskets, glass, and paintings that were there.

This was a neat stop ob our trip through WV. A chance to see some really unique art and walk around. Kind of an art mall with lots of independent vendors showing their art. Many unique items. Some food as well and I had a Chai tea from the Briarwood hotel recipe.

Love stopping at Tamarack! Best rest area ever. Ultra clean bathrooms, excellent food and good exercise when you are tired of the driving/riding. The arts and crafts are always interesting. We like this place so much, that when our son and daughter-in-law decided to have their outdoor wedding at nearby Grandview State Park, we had the rehearsal dinner in one... More

If you are driving this way, this is a great place to get out of the car and stretch your legs while browsing the crafts. The food is a nice break from fast food...definitely better than most quick places to eat while traveling.

My family and I visit the tamarack several times a year. We enjoy looking around the WV artists displays. The food is very good and highly recommend. When the weather is nice it is refreshing to sit outside. They also have a Thanksgiving to go which is a bit pricey but not much more than what you would pay if... More

If driving on the interstate near this place, you must pull in and visit. Park anywhere and walk inside and door. Keep walking along the circular building and you will soon see all the arts and crafts - many being made on site.
