Nice little park

The park did a really nice job with the short interpretive trail. There are several signs to read to learn about the native vegetation and animals. There was also fun fact sign... read more

I have been visiting Yakima for 48 years and this is the first time I have camped here, having stayed with family or in a motel on prior visits. Coming from the superb Lincoln Rock State Park to this place was a real come-down. You CANNOT check in before 2:30 PM due to the need for watering and maintenance in... More

Not much in the way of RV parks in the Yakima area - after a long drive decided on Yakima Sportsmen having stayed at State Parks in the past and being happy with them - not today - pull-through sites are $40 and back-ins are even more at $45. Prices have sure gone up over the last three years or... More

The park did a really nice job with the short interpretive trail. There are several signs to read to learn about the native vegetation and animals. There was also fun fact sign about the day a couple fisherman found an alligator in the pond. What a great idea to share a fun piece of history. More parks should do that!

When we booked the site we thought we would be able to float on the river since it's so close. Once there we found that there's no easy way to access the river from the campgrounds and the river was moving much too fast to float w kids. We decided to find a pool in the area to have fun... More

It was clean, my site was nice, all of the grounds were well taken care of. It was quiet. I had a really great stay. Don't let the drive to the park fool you. Kinda run down along the way but the park is very nice.

It's a cute park close to town. The campsites are shady and spacious. There is plenty of green space for playing games. There is a playground for the kids. The gentleman at the gate was extremely friendly and helpful. I would absolutely stay here again.

Stayed here on Memorial Day weekend. We arrived without reservations and were fortunate to get the last unreserved spot. We were only pitching a tent, didn't need any hook-ups. It is a bit odd to camp in the middle of a city, but I had been here in the past so it wasn't a surprise. There is plenty of green... More

It is comfortably located, popular, clean park. Good green park for walks or playing frisby. A bit close to highway and too many people making visits to the washroom not the greatest experience. Most of the sites don't have privacy.

We stopped just to do a geocache but the park looked like it'd be nice for a family to hang out and have a picnic.

Very well maintained park in lovely wooded setting near great biking and walking trails. Lots of trees with good spacing between lots. Not a fan of Yakima generally, but love this park.
