We visited in October and had a fantastic experience. Diane, who works at the visitor center, was so knowledgeable. She is truly a treasure and a great asset to the entire region. She gave us great recommendations for our whole trip, including wineries with excellent food, wineries on the vineyard itself, hikes, and restaurants. The center had maps, regional tour books, and pamphlets for the whole region. We used the advice from the visitor’s center and Diane even when in neighboring Red Mountain!

We usually visit here when we have company coming to visit. It is a great place to pick up info on what is going on in the Yakima area.

The lovely lady here was so helpful and was able to answer all of my questions and gave great advice on activities in the area. She also gave us some great maps. I’d highly recommend calling in here before you start sightseeing in Yakima.

It had been approx. 8 yrs since stopping in for information and I must say Herb should be there all the time, the information we received was excellent and thorough, he makes it his job to make sure the information he gives everyone is what they will need to make their visit a positive one.

Not very knowledgeable about the wineries in my opinion. Best thing to do is look at Tripadvisor, visit a couple and ask for their recommendations.

You will be greeted by friendly helpful knowledgeable staff. Probably gave us more paper guides than we required but did give us a coupon to a winery than saved us $10 for 2 tasting fees . Not for us brits but you also got a free coffee

Lady met us immediately upon our arrival and proceeded to gain knowledge on us as we gained knowledge of Yakima. I know we spent an hour there going through information and events. One of the better Information Visitor Centers we have visited on our many travels. Thank You for the local maps and points of interest for visit during our 1-week stay.

A stop at This visitor center is definatly a must before you begin your winery tour! They provide you with maps, information on the Winery’s, sell wine, and you can get a “Passport card” for discounts on tasting and wine!
