Good wine and good service. Knowledgeable staff. Helped us learn about and appreciate WA wines. Recommend.

Beautiful setting, helpful and knowledgeable staff, lovely wine selection and a charcuterie board make for a fabulous afternoon enjoying the company of friends. NHJ is consistently a great choice for wine tasting in Woodinville.

We've been to several wineries all over the country but this one has got to have the worst service we've ever encountered. Our part of 6 was seated outdoors. At other wineries a waiter comes around to take you tasting orders and usually curates the wines for you, explaining the process and tasting notes. Not here. If you actually want to be served you have to go inside and order at the bar, then a waitress will drop the flights off at you table with no explanation to what they are (though there is a card). We weren't even aware there was water available until we went inside as nobody even asked if we would want any. When we asked for forks for the charcuterie plate she looked dumfounded, they could barely scrounge together 6 forks for us. Nobody even checked in with us after that. They definitely weren't understaffed, they just couldn't be bothered to come out of the air conditioning to do their jobs.

And on top of that, we were in the middle of a terrible heat wave, making sitting outside unbearable. The umbrellas and small trees are the only source of shade on the patio and they were not sufficient, no fans or any kind of mitigation was available. We asked if we could sit inside and the hostess gave us a surly response about how there's no space for our party and they can't push the tables together even though the indoor area was almost totally empty for the entire time we were there. As we were leaving one of the waitresses sneered at us.

The space is very beautiful and modern and I'm sure it would have been better on a day that wasn't so hot. But that's no excuse for the terrible and inattentive service staff.

Great stop while exploring the Pacific Northwest. Mike Januik, one of the area's acclaimed winemakers even stopped by our table to chat about the wines and answer questions.

Half our group ordered the Classic Flight of wine and the other half did the Reserve Flights of wine. Both were quite good and we purchased several bottles to ship home. The staff was super friendly and helpful. And while we didn't order food, it looked quite delicious.

The wines at Januik were all excellent; I'd buy any of them if they were at my local wine shops. The winery itself is a nice atmosphere, and the cheese board that we ordered with our tastings was very generous and included some delicious cheeses and other snacks; and for a reasonable price. The staff were friendly, but I wouldn't say they went out of their way to sell the wines or endear the visitors to the brand. But, the wines were all good and for that reason I'd return on my next visit to Woodinville.

Beautiful location and great tour with our host Robin. Went through a wonderful Journey and tasting the wines. We also had the great pleasure to meet Mike and Andrew Januik. This was the highlight of our tasting experience in Woodenville.

Wanted to taste the Januik wines and stopped in for the reserve tasting. Some very nice cabs and merlot. We really enjoyed the experience here, in large part due to the knowledge and personality of the staff member guiding and assisting us, Cheryl. Thanks for an enjoyable day.

The only reason I’m giving this place three stars is the slightly above average wine and good pizza. What a nightmare on a Saturday afternoon to have just as many small children at this establishment as adults! I get it, there was a wedding party. But the kids were running around the outdoor seating, kicking stones and dirt and yelling. Obviously terrible parenting, but also disappointing that nothing was said by the staff to these clueless parents. Will never return and would never recommend if this is standard. This doesn’t seem like it should be a “family destination”.

We're sorry other people's kids ruined what otherwise would have been a good visit. Our staff tries to remind parents to watch their own children but some days we're just too busy helping guests to manage the parents too. I hope you visit again, and on the off-chance this is an issue a second time, please let a staff member know, and we will gladly have a discreet chat with the parents. We appreciate your concern!

Three of us stopped by the Novelty Hill - Jaunik winery some wine and dinner for the first time. Tapas style food plates. Limited menu, but every plate we ordered was absolutely outstanding. Everything tasted so fresh, interesting flavors - even the chicken plate was probably one of the best ways of preparing chicken that we’ve ever tasted. They change their menu weekly, so they always have new delectables to offer. Live music was playing also. Wonderful evening!

Excellent wine but the tasting room experience is not that professional. Staff seem harried and unorganized. Some of the wine is very good if overpriced.

This thing that Washington wineries do in the tasting room is annoying. $15-20 for 3-5 pours is small time cheap. If the wine is good it will sell once tasted. To charge $20 if you don’t buy wine is simply insecure.
