We stumbled upon the opportunity to tour this base and were thoroughly impressed with the staff, their mission and history. Tours are informal affairs conducted by individual smokejumpers who have considerable experience to share. It's a very effective introduction to the jobs these men and...More

Fantastic and interesting free tour. Just show up at the base during their operating hours and be taken on a short free tour of the base and the history of the Smoke jumpers. Merchandise available for purchase. Adults and kids enjoy this tour.

We stopped here for a tour with a group, a young Smokejumper took us around and patiently answered many questions. It's a unique place and the job itself is so challenging and unusual that everyone found it intriguing. Well worth a stop.

This is a wonderful place to visit; very intersting, and a great tour for both kids & adults. We learned alot of the history of smokejumpers and how they operate these days.
