We brought 8 small children here on a weekday and it was incredible!! You really need a few hours to soak it all in. Many exhibits to enjoy. It really provides you with a great taste of the area's history, including some natural history. Some stuff for children to do hands on. You really should visit even if you already... More

More interesting than I would have imagined. Many exhibits are interactive and feature events and history that I was unaware of. Train exhibit is amazing. Very helpful and knowledgeable staff. Well worth it if you are in Tacoma WA.

Be sure to allow 2 to 3 hours to spend here. That means if you park in the adjacent parking lot, buy 4 hours of parking. Yes, $7.00 is a lot for parking, but it is worth it so you don't have to wander the city trying to find no-fee parking. You may need to take a break for some... More

"I'm so sorry about your history," I had to say as we left this museum. So much of the exhibition was about the abuse of Indians. There was a patronizing section about the local economy and a very informative room with geological exhibits I enjoyed but, as a whole, I found the place depressing. I was very anxious to see... Nice, quite, informative, learned something new. You need to like museum's. My wife and I enjoyed looking at the exhibits, as well as the information about local Indian tribes. Amazing.

We took our Grandson to this museum, for his first time. He really enjoyed his time there, as did we. We remember when the museum was down in the Stadium District, so it is alot bigger. We will be visiting again.

Finally took the time to visit this popular museum. There is lots too see and you can touch stuff😀 Wear your comfortablw walking shoes because you'll want to see it all. There are displays about Native American tribes contributions to the world---science, arts, agriculture, economy & infrastructure. There's a display for a catastrophic car trip, one for local independent music,... More

I took my American grandson to this museum and we both (a) thoroughly enjoyed it and (b) both learnt a lot. It is very well laid out and very child friendly with lots of interactive features. It covers may aspects of the history of Washington State and doesn't forget to acknowledge the part played by the aboriginal peoples. It also... More
