Nice riverfront park & mall

Fun playground with giant red wagon play structure. Nice path next to river and falls. Nice air-conditioned mall with food court and movie theater, and many cool escalators.

Downtown Spokane has changed a great deal since I arrived in the area in 1999. Compared to other cities, I thought it a trifle undeveloped and 'slow'. But all that has changed! The city center has grown, and is still growing at a fast rate. The downtown atmosphere is more vibrant, more alive with new places to see and eat... More

Area is clean and both River Front park and the streets in Downtown are safe any time of day. While the city does have summertime transients like all cities, they don't seem to bother anyone and neither I or my wife walking alone felt threatened. River Walk (Centennial Trail) is a great area to get some exercise. Park view of... More

As usual the fireworks were great. Kids loved them. Do yourself a favor and just walk up and watch from anywhere. Paying for special seats is a let down and a mistake.

It's a nice small town that you can walk around it reminds me a lot of Yakima Washington but Spokane has more visible homeless people walking around all of the local town folks I met where wonderful extremely helpful friendly kind I had a great time in Spokane

Great places to stay, so many restaurants, live music, River Walk and BISTANGO!!! Bistango is a great martini bar. It is awesome. Huckleberry martinis! Spokane has great shopping, theater and good food. It is easy to get around and find things. I like it better than Portland or Seattle for a getaway.

Walk both sides of the river. Ride the carousel. Ride the gondolas. Take lots of photos. If you're wandering through downtown be advised, the farther east you venture, the seedier it gets.

Downtown Spokane isn't really a downtown like you would find in a big city. It's still very very small but some nice local restaurants and shops mixed in with chain stuff. One side of downtown is boardered by the river which is really nice to walk along. And at either end of what I "guess" is downtown is a mall... More

No parking, terrible drivers that do not follow the law/ street lights/signs. Nothing worth going to see, unless you want to go to Nordstroms, and I'm not sure even that is worth the hassle of driving in downtown Spokane.
