One of my favorite places to take pictures of the river, the salmon runs and the bridge reconstruction. The bridge celebrated it's 100th birthday in September. A bit worse for wear do to two major storms that undermined some of the supports. But reconstruction should be done by years end.

We biked along the Olympic Discovery Trail from Sequim State Park to the Railroad Bridge, which is currently being replaced, so it's a bit noisy when you get there. There were salmon spawning in the river, which you could watch for hours! The old railroad bridge is a marvel of construction and provided fodder for the camera, for sure. Inside... More

My son loves trains, so, we had to visit the Railroad Bridge. It was cool! Excited to see Chinook Salmon in the river too. Really fun spot to visit. Not far off the main road and an easy walk.

This place is a must see if you are in Sequim and love birds. we were advised on an area of the Discovery Trail that we would find worth seeing. They have a recent collection of birds that were donated from a taxadermist.

We stopped to verify birding locations. The volunteer staff was warm and friendly, happy to assist with flora and fauna questions. They had a remarkable bird taxidermy collection which was donated. I not fond of seeing stuffed birds but their collection is a great resource for identification of local birds. We sat outside watching their feeders with great results. We... More

Good trails going into and out of the area. The bridge is out now, which hampers the good long walks on the Discovery Trail. One often sees a bald eagle or two. Sometimes even an osprey fishing the Dungeness.

On our recent visit to the area we visited here, and walked on the trails around the center. The bridge trail is still under repair, but just to see the bridge and the river underneath it and the Audubon center took us a couple hours of playtime.
