Well worth the visit if you're in the area, located UPHILL from the town of Oroville approx 15 miles/24km. Allow for a 45min drive one way and 1-2 hours to visit the site. Check the hours with the "Molson Museum Association" before you go. Lots...More

Unless this is your thing I don't see making a special trip to get here mainly because it's on the outskirts of the outskirts. The surrounding area is pretty mainly because it is high and has trees and green grass differing from the surrounding lowlands...More

I enjoy visiting scenic and historical places, so the remote location was okay, but must be kept in mind. This was a nice spring drive, but could be very hot and dusty later in the season. High desert, but green in the Spring! A Ghost...More

A stroll through the desolate town of Molson is definitely not for everyone but if you are an historian, a relic enthusiast or a genealogist at heart, it is worth the jaunt. the town is located 11 miles from Oroville, but the view is lovely...More

High on a plateau in the mountains is Molson, an old mining town from the early 1900s. It's now a museum and all the buildings are open and have been left much as they were when abandoned. The wind whistles through and the doors creak....More

Since I'm not a motorcycle rider, I can't answer the question from experience, but the road is paved the entire way and I would think that it would be a good ride.
