This museum gives a good explanation of the part Whidbey Island played in WWII plus a little history before that. Very friendly people volunteer to run the place.

This is an interesting museum about the start of PBY planes and Whidbey Island. A very interesting film that has first person accounts of WWII. A grezeway to spend a couple of hours. Allow at least one hour to tour.

My father was head of a squadron on Whidbey in the 1960's. The staff at the museum were knowledgeable and able to answer my questions. They were passionate about the local navy history.

Since my husband had been in the navy and stationed on Whidbey Island years ago we wanted to visit this museum. We were glad we did. The exhibits are informative and the flight simulator was a big hit for my husband.
